Toni Braxton Signs Deal With Lifetime to Produce Multiple Projects

Toni Braxton has expanded her production deal with Lifetime to executive produce multiple projects for the cable network and sister channel A+E.

Lifetime made the announcement Wednesday, saying Braxton will oversee the projects through her Braxtoni Productions as part of the “all-encompassing” agreement.

“Lifetime has been home to my film and TV projects for the past decade. My team and I are looking forward to continued success with the network as we bring projects to life for the audience that has so graciously welcomed us into their homes over the years,” Braxton said in a statement.

Braxtoni will be headquartered at Lifetime’s Los Angeles offices, according to Lifetime.

“Toni is an excellent producing partner, a wonderfully versatile actress, and our audiences have shown us just how much they love seeing her on our air,” said Tanya Lopez, EVP of scripted content for Lifetime and Lifetime Movie Network.

Last year the Grammy-winning singer starred in and executive produced two Lifetime movies under the Fallen Angels franchise.

The films titled Fallen Angels Murder Club: Friends to Die For and Fallen Angels Murder Club: Heroes and Felons were part of Lifetime’s Broader Focus initiative, which supports the hiring of women in key production roles.

Both movies were based on the Hollis Morgan mystery book series by author R. Franklin James, and directed by Rhonda Baraka.

Braxton also produced the network’s 2022 Lifetime film, A Christmas Spark, which featured former Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman stars Jane Seymour and Joe Lando reuniting on screen.

The “Unbreak My Heart” singer previously produced and starred in Faith Under Fire, Everyday is Christmas, Twist of Faith and her biopic Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart for Lifetime.
