Shots Fired Inside Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville – Suspect In Custody

(Fayetteville, NC) – Officers of the Fayetteville Police Department responded to reports of shots fired inside of Cross Creek Mall.

On July 26, 2023 at approximately 12:45 p.m. officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to reports of shots fired inside of Cross Creek Mall located at 5000 Morganton Road.

As officers arrived on scene, they quickly located a male suspect.

He was taken into custody without incident.

This was not an active shooter incident, and the mall is not on lock down. This incident appears to be an isolated incident, and there are no reported injuries at this time.

This is an active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
