A tragic turn of events unfolded during a night at a downtown Shreveport nightclub, as two individuals initiated gunfire outside the establishment.
On July 15, at 2:29 a.m., the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) swiftly responded to reports of a shooting on Commerce Street in downtown Shreveport.
Upon arrival, officers were informed that two young men, one dressed in a grey hooded sweatshirt and the other in a blue hoodie, commenced firing handguns in the vicinity of the Phoenix 2.0 nightclub.
Following the incident, the two men involved swiftly fled the scene on foot, their respective directions unknown.
Regrettably, one man lost his life due to the shooting, while multiple other victims were urgently transported to a local hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries.
