In the ongoing search for the shooter involved in a tragic shooting incident that resulted in the loss of four lives on Saturday morning, a reward of $10,000 is now being offered.
Hampton Police Chief James Turner has announced the issuance of four murder warrants on Saturday afternoon for 41-year-old Andre Longmore.
The investigation continues, and efforts are underway to apprehend the suspect.
“Since 10:45 this morning, our entire team has been fully committed to the task at hand. It is our duty and obligation to thoroughly investigate this matter and ensure that the responsible individual is held accountable for their actions,” stated Hampton Police Chief James Turner.
The police have reported that the shooting incident began around 10:45 a.m. on Saturday in the Dogwood Lakes vicinity of Hampton. County government spokeswoman Melissa Robinson has confirmed to FOX3 News that tragically, four individuals have lost their lives in this incident.
Throughout the day, investigators meticulously examined four distinct crime scenes, all situated in close proximity to one another.
While the police have not provided confirmation regarding the events preceding the shooting, officials have categorized it as an “active shooter incident.”
At this point, the names of the victims have not been disclosed, but law enforcement has identified them as three males and one female.
“We will be transferring the responsibility of apprehending Mr. Longmore to Sheriff Scandrett and the Henry County Sheriff’s Office,” stated Chief Turner. Sheriff Reginald B. Scandrett emphasized the collective effort involved, stating, “This is a concerted, all-hands-on-deck endeavor to ensure the arrest of Mr. Longmore.”
Longmore is described as being approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall. His last known attire consisted of long gray pants, a dark shirt with a red tone, and he was seen carrying a black handgun.
Addressing Mr. Longmore directly, Sheriff Scandrett made a resolute statement, affirming that regardless of his whereabouts, law enforcement will relentlessly pursue him until he is apprehended.
The investigation is primarily led by the Hampton Police Department, with collaborative support from the Henry County Police Department, Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Henry County Homeland Security, and Henry County Crime Scene Unit. Additionally, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation has been notified and is actively involved in the case.
Sheriff Scandrett advised the public to immediately contact 911 if they spot Mr. Longmore and explicitly warned against approaching him due to his known armed and dangerous status.
