Authorities are currently seeking two individuals in relation to the shooting incident involving a 5-year-old girl in the Bronx on Friday.
The suspects, identified as Austin Morrishow, 25, and Curtis White, 26, both from the Bronx, allegedly fired multiple shots near the area of East 213th Street and White Plains Road, according to the police.
According to the police, the young girl was seated in the rear of a vehicle when she sustained a gunshot wound to her back.
She was immediately transported to the hospital in critical condition.
A witness recounted hearing the distressed father’s cries for assistance after his daughter was shot, stating, “He was in a state of panic, shouting, ‘My daughter, my daughter, she’s been shot! Help! Help! Help!’ Then two police officers arrived and transported her to the hospital.”
