Law enforcement authorities have identified the five victims who tragically lost their lives when a gunman unleashed a series of gunshots in a Philadelphia neighborhood on Monday evening.
The incident began when officers were alerted at the intersection of 56th and Chester streets in Kingsessing around 8:30 p.m. The 40-year-old male suspect, identified as Kimbrady Carriker, is expected to face charges in connection with the incident.
During his arrest, Carriker was reportedly wearing a bulletproof vest and had multiple magazines, an AR-style rifle, and a handgun in his possession.
Additionally, it is alleged that he had a police scanner with him at the time of the arrest.
The violent rampage resulted in the tragic loss of five lives, one of whom was discovered deceased inside a residence near the area in the aftermath of the shooting.
Among those affected were a 2-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy, who sustained gunshot injuries.
In a press release issued on Tuesday morning, the police officially identified the five victims who lost their lives during the incident.

Additional individuals, including another toddler, sustained injuries caused by shattered glass amid the chaotic events, as confirmed by officials on Tuesday morning.
Another person was apprehended in relation to the incident, and authorities suspect that this individual may have retaliated by firing shots at the suspect.
However, officials later clarified that they do not believe the suspected shooter has any ties to the victims, nor do the victims have any connections to one another.
