A female employee at the Home Depot located on Davis Highway in Escambia County was fatally shot inside the store on Friday afternoon, as confirmed by the sheriff. Law enforcement has a suspect in custody.

The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. at the Davis Highway store, prompting a call to the sheriff’s office regarding an active shooter situation.

Sheriff Chip Simmons stated that the victim, who was a female employee, was discovered within the store.

Additionally, deputies have indicated that there could be another potential victim who has been transported to the hospital.

The male suspect contacted Pensacola Police from the nearby Mellow Mushroom on Bayou Boulevard and surrendered, as stated by Sheriff Simmons.

“A suspect is now under custody and will face murder charges,” Sheriff Simmons confirmed.

The suspect 20-year-old, Keith Eric Agee has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
