One person injured after a shooting at El Zarape restaurant in Bowling Green

Police reported that a shooting took place at a restaurant in Bowling Green on Monday morning, resulting in one person being taken to the hospital.

The Bowling Green Police Department stated that the incident occurred at El Zarape restaurant on E. Wooster at around 9:30 a.m.

The victim’s injuries were deemed non-life-threatening, and officers are presently attempting to apprehend the suspect.

Upon the victim’s identification of the perpetrator, officers proceeded to Ivywood Apartments on Clough Street, located behind Hampton.

Upon arrival, officers were observed with their guns drawn and employing a loudspeaker to persuade the suspect to surrender, with the situation continuing as of 12:40 p.m.

The police department indicated in a social media post that they were “awaiting authorization to enter the premises to ascertain the suspect’s whereabouts.” Currently, the suspect’s identity remains undisclosed.
