Update: As per a Facebook update from the Frankfort KY Police, there is no verified information regarding an active shooter, casualties, or any injuries at the Transportation Cabinet. Law enforcement has promptly responded to the scene and is currently engaged in a systematic clearing and search operation of the area.
Around 3 p.m. today, Kentucky State Police received a report of a possible active shooter at Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Mayo Underwood Building in Frankfort. KSP has cleared the buildings and confirmed no injuries or shots fired. The investigation will continue.

A number of different law enforcement organizations are reacting to reports of active shooter at Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in Frankfort.
Officers and detectives are currently on scene conducting an investigation.
A staff member at the Transportation building located on Mero Street in Frankfort, Kentucky, told FOX3 that there was an active shooter in the area. It is worth noting that there are three state office buildings situated in close proximity to each other, with one on High Street and two on Mero Street.
Social media reports indicate people are evacuating the building.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced on their Facebook page that the Frankfort Driver Licensing Regional Office is currently closed and apologized for any inconvenience caused, and advised people to check back for updates.
As at the time of this report, there has been neither confirmation nor identification of any victims.
No suspects have been identified, and there has been no information immediately released regarding any arrests.
