No bomb and no active shooter at Hulen Mall in Fort Worth after evacuation

Just before 5:30pm today multiple calls came into both fire and police dispatch offices for an active shooter and bomb threat at Hulen Mall.

Officers and Fire Department officials arrived on scene quickly and began the search for casualties and canvasing the mall for the threat.

As of right now there have been no patients located.

Police believe that what people thought were gunshots was actually the sound of people slamming doors as they were fleeing the building.

They have two of their explosive canine units sweeping the mall with other with bomb/arson teams in addition to FWPD SWAT and a very heavy fire and police presence.

At this time they have not found anything that leads us to believe that a shooting took place or any explosive device(s) were placed in the building.

Both departments will continue to remain on scene.

This is a developing story that will be updated when more information is available.
