Katy Blakey is an American journalist working for NBC 5 Anchor and Reporter. She is the weekend evening newscasts, anchor, and reporter. She was previously the Weekend Morning & Midday Anchor & Reporter for NBC 5 News.
Blakey began her journalism career at Belo Corporation as an intern. She traveled with WFAA and Dallas Morning News to the 2004 Democratic Convention in Boston. She later joined Lockwood Broadcast Group for KTEN as the Morning & Midday Anchor and Reporter.
In June 2011, Blakey joined Hearst Television for KOCo as an Anchor and Reporter where She anchored the weekday morning show. In January 2015, she joined NBC 5 as the Weekend Morning & Midday Anchor and Reporter. In 2019, she transitioned to a Weekend Evening Anchor and Reporter.
