Jonathan Majors denies assaulting a woman last weekend in New York City and his legal team says there’s evidence to prove it.
On Thursday morning, the Creed III actor’s attorney released three text messages allegedly sent by the woman involved in the assault case, and told UrbanHollywood411 the actor was arrested “due to an NYPD protocol requiring arrest in certain circumstances.”
The first message read, “Please let me know you’re okay when you get this. They assured me that you won’t be charged. They said they had to arrest you as protocol when they saw the injuries on me and they knew we had a fight.”
The woman did not give further details on what type of injuries were sustained.

“I told them it was my fault for trying to grab your phone,” the first message continued.
The second message said, “I love you.”
In the final message, the woman wrote, “I reiterated how this was not an attack and they do not have my blessing on any charges being placed.”
“I read the paper they gave me about strangulation and I said point blank this did not occur and should be removed immediately,” she added. “I also said to tell the judge the origin of the call was to do with me collapsing and passing out and your worry as my partner due to our communication prior. Out of care. She promised all would be relayed.”
The text messages were released to UrbanHollywood411 by Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry of ChaudhryLaw PLLC in New York.
However, the messages could not be independently verified.
Majors, 33, was arrested on Saturday, March 25. He was arraigned Sunday and charged with assault in the third degree, three counts of attempted assault in the third degree, one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree, and one count of harassment in the second degree, the D.A.’s office said. The charges are all misdemeanors.
Chaudhry also said Majors was the one who called 911 out of concern for his companion, who was allegedly suffering an “emotional crisis.”
