Early Career | Coverages | Awards
Sabol’s passion for television and sports started at FOX 8 News. He used to be a sports intern there and later became the weekend sports anchor and weekday sports reporter. Sabol’s love for Cleveland sports began when he was young, going to many Browns and Indians games with his dad and brother at the old Municipal Stadium. Sabol has 2 special memories of Cleveland sports that he will never forget. One is the 2016 Cavs championship, and the other is going to Game 7 of the 2016 World Series. Even though the outcome of the World Series was disappointing, he still holds onto the dream of seeing Rajai Davis hit that amazing game-tying, 2-run home run in the 8th inning against Aroldis Chapman. He believes that if there hadn’t been a rain delay, the Tribe would have won the World Series!
