Jamie Foxx and Daughter Corinne to Host New Game Show

Jamie Foxx and his daughter Corinne Foxx are partnering with Fox TV on a new show.

The network made the announcement on Monday (May 15), saying the father-daughter duo will host a guessing game show titled We Are Family. Jamie will also executive produce alongside Jeff Apploff and Matilda Zoltowski, who will serve as showrunner.

In a joint statement, Jamie and Corinne said the program will debut in 2024.

“We are thrilled to be developing We Are Family with Jeff Apploff and our friends at Fox Entertainment after so much success with six seasons of Beat Shazam,” Jamie and Corinne Foxx said in a press release. “We hope this show brings as much fun to audiences at home as we’ve had creating it when it premieres next year.”

Per Fox, the show will feature non-famous relatives of celebrities performing duets with their hidden famous family member. There will be a studio audience comprised of 100 contestants playing through multiple rounds of clues to win up to $100,000 each if they can correctly guess which celebrity the performer is related to before the big reveal.

Jamie and Corinne also host the Fox music game show Beat Shazam, which Nick Cannon and guest DJ Kelly Osborne will co-host this season because of Jamie’s recent hospitalization. Season 6 premieres May 23.

The actor and singer was hospitalized last month because of an unknown medical complication. He was in Atlanta at the time filming the upcoming Netflix movie Back in Action.

Foxx released his first statement since his hospitalization on May 3, thanking his fans and friends for “all the love” after his health scare.
