As per Rogers County authorities, a senior couple residing near Highway 20 and 161st East Ave has been discovered dead inside their house.
Both the husband and wife were found with gunshot wounds, and based on the existing evidence, investigators believe that the husband shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself.
According to deputies, family members received concerning text messages from the husband around 4:30 a.m.
Subsequently, when they arrived at the house, they found the couple dead.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) has been summoned to assist with the crime scene investigation.
The investigators are currently trying to ascertain the cause of the shooting.
