January 6 Capitol Breach Leads to Arrests: Isaac Thomas Accused of Assault, Christina Legros of Entering Restricted Grounds
Two Michigan residents have been arrested on charges related to their actions during the January 6, 2021 breach of the United States Capitol. Isaac Thomas, 20, of Flint, Michigan, has been charged with multiple felonies, including assaulting, resisting or impeding officers with a dangerous weapon and obstructing an official proceeding. Christina Legros, 22, of Beaverton, Michigan, has been charged with multiple misdemeanors, including entering restricted grounds without lawful authority and engaging in disruptive conduct within the Capitol Building.

According to court documents, the defendants were part of a mob that illegally confronted law enforcement officers on the west front of the Capitol building. Isaac Thomas used a flagpole to attack officers and was recorded by Christina Legros. The defendants entered the Capitol through the Senate Wing Door and paraded to the House side of the building before ascending to the second floor. Isaac Thomas recorded a video message in the Speaker of the House’s office, calling for the people to “take their country back.” The defendants then moved to a lobby outside the Old Senate Chamber where Thomas clashed with officers again. Both defendants left the Capitol building separately.
