A civilian has been apprehended by the police at Assin North for impersonating as a police officer during the ongoing by-election.
A video that is currently making rounds online captures the moment the impersonator was being handled out of a polling station.

Electorates on the grounds were heard shaming him for the act.

With this being another case of an arrest in the ongoing election, it is safe to say the security forces have taken it upon themselves to protect.
The Assin North election is a tightly contested seat, with party representatives being:
- Charles Opoku (NPP)
- Bernice Enyonam Sefenu (LPG)
- James Gyakye Quayson (NDC)
Assin North District is one of the twenty-two districts in the Central Region, of Ghana.
