President Obama’s former China Director on the National Security Council spoke alongside Gal Luft – recently indicted by President Joe Biden’s Department of Justice for his alleged Chinese Communist Party ties – at a conference held by a Chinese Communist Party-controlled think tank.
The indictment is brazenly hypocritical, as Luft worked on behalf of Chinese foreign influence groups seeking to influence American policies in favor of the Chinese Communist Party that Hunter Biden also has a long history of collaborating with. One group in particular, CEFC China Energy, has paid the Biden family millions of dollars, potentially including deals counting direct involvement from then-Vice President Biden.
The indictment also came just days after Luft recorded a bombshell video with well-evidenced allegations of Biden family corruption.
War Room can reveal another hypocritical aspect of the Luft indictment, as Paul Haenle, White House China director on the National Security Council staff of former president Barack Obama, participated in a Chinese Communist Party-sponsored conferences alongside Luft.
The resurfaced event, “The Contemporary World Multilateral Dialogue on Global Trends and China in the Coming Decade,” took place in Beijing, China in November of 2013 and was hosted by the China Center for Contemporary World Studies (CCCWS), whose President is a leading member of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party.
Chen Qiutu, President of the Hunter Biden-linked CEFC China Energy’s board and Vice President of the Council of CCCWS, also spoke at the event.
Paul Haenle currently holds the Maurice R. Greenberg Director’s Chair at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, an establishment think tank previously headed by Biden’s Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Director Bill Burns. He also held the same position at the National Security Council under President George W. Bush.
