Drake Bell Found Safe After Being Reported ‘Missing and Endangered’

Police in Florida have called off the search for Drake Bell after the actor was found safe Thursday afternoon.

“At this time, we can confirm law enforcement officials are in contact and Mr. Bell is safe,” the Daytona Beach Police Department announced on Facebook at 1:26 p.m. local time.

The announcement came hours after police said in a Thursday morning Facebook post that Bell was missing.

“Officers are looking for Jared Bell,” the post read, referring to the actor’s real name of Drake Jared Bell. “He is considered missing and endangered.”

Bell, 36, had last been seen Wednesday around 9 p.m., traveling in a 2022 grey BMW, police said.

Born in Newport Beach, California, Bell began his entertainment career as a child in the early 1990s.

He is also a singer and rose to fame as a teen on Nickelodeon’s The Amanda Show with Amanda Bynes.

He later landed a show with Josh Peck titled Drake & Josh. The series ran on the channel from 2004 to 2007.

Bell is no stranger to police.

In 2021, he pleaded guilty to felony attempted child endangerment and a misdemeanor charge of disseminating matter harmful to juveniles in Cleveland, Ohio. He was sentenced to two years probation and community service in the case, which centered on a girl he met online. The girl attended one of Bell’s concerts when she was 15. She accused the star of “grooming” her since she was 12, and engaging in sexual misconduct, which Bell’s attorney denied.

In 2016, Bell pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor DUI charge in the Los Angeles suburb of Glendale, California. He was sentenced to four days in jail and four years of probation.

In 2010, he was convicted of driving under the influence in San Diego.
