Christopher Otto Jr of Durand found shot to death in Flint Township

Investigators have revealed that the shooting incident that took place in Flint on Monday, resulting in the death of Christopher Otto Jr. of Durand, was not a random act of violence as previously reported.

Instead, the Flint Township Police Department has determined that the deadly altercation occurred between two men traveling in a vehicle on I-75 near Miller Road.

The suspect, a 36-year-old man from Davison, reportedly shot Otto during the altercation and later drove him to Van Buren Avenue where he left him outside the vehicle.

The suspect in the shooting has been apprehended by the police, but as of Tuesday, the individual’s identity has not been disclosed because they have not yet appeared in court.

The suspect is currently being held in custody at the Genesee County Jail. The Flint Township Police Department is leading the investigation into the incident since the shooting reportedly occurred in their jurisdiction.
