Cardi B won’t face charges for throwing a microphone into the crowd at a concert last weekend in Las Vegas, police said.
“After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence. No charges will be filed in relation to this case,” the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement to the media Thursday.
A concertgoer filed a report with the LVMPD after being “struck by an item that was thrown from the stage,” police said in a previous statement.

Cardi B was not named as a suspect in the earlier statement, but the date and address of the incident matched Drai’s Beachclub where the rapper performed on July 29.
In viral videos from the concert, Cardi B was shown on stage performing “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves).”
The concert DJ told the audience to “splash” her in the triple-digit heat. “Splash her down. Give her some water, splash her the f–k down,” the announcer said.
At one point, Cardi said: “Whew, that s–t feels good.”
But when someone splashed her in the face, the rapper threw her microphone into the crowd and yelled: “I said splash my p–y, not my face b–h.”
On Thursday, Cardi B’s lawyers thanked police for dropping the case.
“This afternoon we were notified by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept., that as a result of their investigation, there will be NO charges against Cardi. On behalf of Cardi, we appreciate the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept’s diligent and prompt resolution of this matter,” attorneys Drew Findling, David Chesnoff and Richard Schonfeld said in a statement to TMZ.
