59-year-old shot and killed in Graham at family gathering

On Sunday, July 2nd, at 8:32 pm, Pierce County deputies received a report of a shooting at a residence located at the intersection of 200th St E and 114th Ave E in Graham.

The caller informed that a man had been shot and that other family members were apprehending the suspect.

Upon arriving at the scene, deputies observed the suspect being restrained and promptly placed him under arrest by handcuffing him.

Deputies then proceeded to check on the victim and unfortunately discovered that he had succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds.

Detectives and forensic investigators were dispatched to the scene to gather evidence and interview witnesses.

Through their investigation, detectives and deputies discovered that the incident occurred during a family gathering. According to their findings, a 19-year-old suspect arrived at the location and allegedly shot his 59-year-old uncle outside the residence.

Subsequently, the 19-year-old suspect was arrested and subsequently booked into the Pierce County Jail on charges of first-degree murder.
