According to the West Valley City Police Department, an individual was shot at Valley Fair Mall on Monday evening.
The victim, believed to be around 30 years old, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police have apprehended three juveniles in connection with the incident, and there are no remaining suspects at large.
Investigators are currently trying to establish the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Authorities consider the incident to be an isolated one.
A section of the mall near the center court has been cordoned off for forensic examination, while the remainder of the mall is anticipated to remain open for business, according to officials.
