According to the Huntsville Police, the death toll has increased to three following the demise of another motorcyclist who suffered injuries in a shooting incident by an unidentified gunman.
The incident occurred on Friday when the assailant fired at motorcyclists traveling in the Spring and Huntsville region.
Additionally, one more motorcycle rider sustained injuries.
Police stated that the initial shooting occurred at 11:08 a.m. on the feeder road situated in the 25000 block of I-45, where the suspect shot one motorcyclist.
Montgomery County deputies promptly reacted to the incident, and the 32-year-old victim was taken to a nearby hospital with hopes of recovery. Unfortunately, despite the medical efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries later in the day.
As per reports, the assailant proceeded further on I-45 and Highway 19, just prior to reaching Huntsville, where three motorcyclists were shot.
Sadly, two of the motorcycle riders, aged 43 and 69, lost their lives instantly. The third victim, a 61-year-old male, sustained injuries and was transported to Herman Memorial in the Houston Medical Center by air for medical attention.
