Goodwin is wanted in connection with the shooting of a juvenile during an Independence Day celebration in Naples on Tuesday night.

Law enforcement officials have appealed to the public to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information regarding Alexander Goodwin.

Goodwin is described as approximately 5’8″ tall and weighing around 120 pounds. He has blonde hair and blue eyes. During his last sighting, he was wearing blue jeans and a gray sweatshirt.

While one of the shots hit a vehicle, there have been no reported injuries to anyone else, as per the information known to the deputies.

According to Sheriff Joyce, the identity of the shooter is known to the sheriff’s office, and law enforcement is actively pursuing leads to locate and apprehend the individual.

The suspect fled into the nearby woods, as mentioned by the sheriff. Describing the shooting as an “isolated incident,” Sheriff Joyce appealed to the shooter to surrender themselves.

The investigation is currently underway. As a precautionary measure while the suspect remains at large, residents of Naples received an automated message from law enforcement.

A recorded message advised citizens to remain vigilant for an armed male believed to be carrying a 9mm handgun.

The suspect is described as an 18-year-old individual, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing around 120 pounds, with blue eyes and blond hair. The last known outfit consisted of blue jeans, a gray sweatshirt, and a black hat.

The automated call emphasized that if anyone spots the suspect, they should immediately contact 911. However, it strongly advised against approaching the individual.
